Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Cups

These tasty chocolate peanut butter marshmallow cups make a wonderful treat for Valentine's Day or any day of the year.

Choose paper candy cups to match your theme or occasion. Something so little can make a really big difference in the fun and delight of your party guests or children.

For example, you can get candy paper cups with mini hearts for Valentine's Day, shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day, stars for the 4th of July, pumpkins for Halloween or Thanksgiving, and holly and ivy for Christmas.

Oh, okay, you can just use plain solid colors if you must! :) You will find a selection of paper candy cups on Amazon along with hundreds of molds if you really want to get fancy. Have fun!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Cups

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups peanut butter,smooth or crunchy
  • 5 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows
  • paper/foil candy cups

Directions

  1. Line 2 muffins pans with chosen candy cups.

  2. Combine peanut butter, chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan and heat on low, stirring until smooth. Alternately, you could heat the mixture in the microwave for 2-3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.

  3. Remove from heat and gently fold in marshmallows. Immediately spoon into the baking cups and chill until set.

Makes about 24 cups.

Enjoy this delightful twist of the traditional peanut butter cups that we all love! My trouble is that once I get started on these delicious little morsels, I can't seem to control myself. Mmmm, I do love them.
